Junior Accountant Associate

As we scale rapidly across regions, we require a Junior Accountant<\/b> who is sharp, disciplined, and precise<\/b>. The ideal candidate will have hands\-on experience filing VAT, PAYE, SHIF, NSSF, and income tax returns<\/b>, and must bring structure, speed, and full ownership<\/b> to the finance department.
<\/p>Role Summary<\/b>

This is a core finance role<\/b> responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting and operations<\/b> across all branches. You will be tasked with maintaining clean books, enforcing spending discipline, and closing financial gaps before they occur. File Income Tax, VAT, PAYE, NSSF, and SHIF returns<\/b> on time without fail. Maintain accurate transaction records for: Sales (cash, M\-PESA, bank) Purchases and supplier payments Petty cash and staff commissions Payroll tracking and statutory deductions Ensure all data is recorded in Zoho Books<\/b>\u2014clean, traceable, and audit\-ready. Prepare and deliver weekly and monthly financial reports<\/b>. Reconcile inter\-branch transfers and cross\-country financial movements. Track stock purchases and validate the cost of goods sold. Support internal accountability by ensuring all expenses are approved, documented, and justified. Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Accounting or Finance<\/b>, or CPAK (at least up to Section 4)<\/b>. Proven experience in filing VAT, PAYE, SHIF, NSSF, and Income Tax.<\/b> Proficiency in Zoho Books, QuickBooks, or Excel\-based accounting.<\/b> Strong skills in financial reporting, reconciliation, and documentation.<\/b> Able to work in a fast\-paced, target\-driven environment<\/b> with minimal supervision.
