Junior Accountant

Location: Al Muraqabat, Dubai, UAE

Key Responsibilities

  • Record daily sales, purchases, expenses, and financial transactions of the pharmacy branches.
  • Close daily cash sales and perform reconciliation with system records.
  • Prepare, issue, and track cheques for suppliers and operational expenses.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable (AR) & Accounts Payable (AP):
    • Track customer dues and follow up on collections.
    • Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
  • Assist in monthly and annual financial statements preparation.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and maintain proper records of transactions.
  • Monitor and reconcile stock entries with the inventory team.
  • Assist in VAT return preparation and ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations.
  • Support payroll processing, employee advances, and expense claims.
  • Maintain proper filing of invoices, receipts, and vouchers.
  • Assist in audit preparations and provide required financial data.
  • Manage petty cash & operational expenses.
  • Any Ad-hoc tasks arising and requested by Pharmacy Execs.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of accounting experience (experience in the retail/pharmacy sector preferred) within the UAE.
  • Knowledge of AR/AP processes, cheque handling, and daily cash reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with UAE VAT and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; exposure to accounting software (Tally/QuickBooks/Odoo) preferred.
  • Strong organizational, numerical, and multitasking skills.
  • Good communication in English (Arabic/Hindi/Urdu is an advantage).
  • High integrity, accuracy, and willingness to learn.
