Junior AI Engineer (Fresh Graduate)
Key Responsibilities
- Independently build, test, and deliver Agentic AI components — connecting AI agents to tools, data sources, and workflows, and owning your assigned features end to end.
- Take ownership of LLM tuning and adaptation tasks, including preparing datasets, designing prompts, and implementing fine-tuning and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) setups.
- Design, build, and run AI evaluation harnesses — writing test cases, running benchmarks, and reporting on the accuracy, speed, safety, and reliability of models and agents.
- Write clean, well-documented, production-quality code and follow good engineering practices.
- Independently research and resolve technical problems, escalating only when genuinely blocked.
- Manage your own tasks and timelines, communicate progress proactively, and deliver on commitments.
Requirements
- A recent graduate with a Bachelor's degree (or Diploma) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Solid foundational understanding of Agentic AI concepts — what AI agents are and how they use tools and reasoning to complete tasks(through coursework, personal projects, or self-study).
- Working familiarity with large language models and how to adapt them through prompting, fine-tuning, or RAG — demonstrated through academic work or personal projects.
- Understanding of why testing and evaluating AI matters, and the ability to independently build and run evaluation/test harnesses for AI systems.
- Confident programming ability in Python, with hands-on familiarity with common libraries (e.g., PyTorch, Hugging Face, or similar).
- Strong self-direction, ownership mindset, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong problem-solving skills, resourcefulness, and the drive to figure things out on your own.
- Good communication and teamwork — you keep others informed and collaborate well, even while working independently
Nice to Have
- A final-year project, internship, hackathon, or personal project involving LLMs, chatbots, AI agents, or machine learning — ideally one you built and delivered largely on your own.
- Experience with any agent framework (e.g., LangChain, LlamaIndex, or similar) or LLM APIs.
- A GitHub portfolio, Kaggle profile, or other evidence of independently building and shipping things.
- Familiarity with Git, basic cloud services, or simple deployment.
