Junior Analyst, Data & Intelligence

Do you enjoy uncovering patterns, making sense of information and turning data into meaningful insights? Are you curious about how news, media, culture and communications influence business decisions and reputation?

As a Junior Analyst, Data & Intelligence at Zeno, you will support research, measurement and intelligence programs that help clients make smarter communications and business decisions. Working closely with analytics, strategy, digital and account teams, you will help gather, analyze and translate data into actionable insights that inform communications strategies and optimize performance.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys learning, solving problems and working with both data and storytelling. You'll have the opportunity to develop analytical skills, build expertise with industry-leading tools and contribute to high-impact work across a variety of clients and industries.

About the Role:

  • Research & Intelligence Gathering: Monitor news, media, digital conversations and industry trends, helping identify relevant information, emerging issues and opportunities that matter to clients.

  • Data Analysis & Insight Development: Support measurement and analytics initiatives by collecting, organizing and analyzing data from a variety of sources to uncover meaningful insights.

  • Reporting & Communications Intelligence: Assist in developing reports, briefs, newsletters, crisis alerts and other intelligence products that help clients and account teams understand performance and emerging developments.

  • Integrated Team Collaboration: Partner with analytics, digital and account teams to help translate research and data into recommendations that support client objectives.

  • Media & Communications Measurement: Learn how measurement, monitoring and analytics support public relations, integrated communications and business decision-making.

  • Professional Development & Learning: Build expertise across analytics tools, communications measurement methodologies and emerging industry trends while developing foundational consulting and analytical skills.

About You:

  • 1–2 years of experience in analytics, research, communications, marketing, public relations or related fields.

  • Analytical mindset with an interest in working with both qualitative and quantitative information. Strong interest in data, research, media, communications and how insights inform decision-making.

  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize information and communicate findings clearly.

  • Curiosity about new tools, technologies and analytical approaches.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

  • Familiarity with research, analytics, media monitoring or digital measurement tools such as Cision, Muck Rack, Talkwalker, PeakMetrics, Google Analytics, NewsWhip, SEMrush or similar platforms.

  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across teams.

  • An aptitude for and general interest in technology will go a long way in success for this role.

  • AI-forward mindset - an eagerness to leverage AI to improve speed, efficiency and insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with marketing, communications or public relations measurement concepts.

  • Exposure to data analysis, data visualization or business intelligence tools.

  • Basic understanding of data collection, audience research or digital analytics methodologies.

  • Coursework, internships or project experience related to analytics, communications research, marketing or business intelligence.

Pay Range: $55,000 - $60,000 USD/yr

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs.
