We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team in Amsterdam. In this operational finance role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of supplier and customer invoices, payments, banking activities, and financial administration in Exact (Exact Online), while managing invoice and purchase-order approval workflows in Precoro and ensuring that colleagues provide the approvals and information required.

As Junior Financial Accountant at Optics11, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of our rapidly growing organization. Reporting to the Manager Accounting, you will work closely with colleagues across multiple departments to maintain strong financial controls, improve efficiency, and support business growth.

Given the entrepreneurial and fast-growing nature of our organization, this position offers a broad and hands-on scope with exposure to a wide range of finance and operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and book supplier invoices accurately and on time in Exact;

  • Create and send customer invoices;

  • Prepare payment runs and ensure payments are ready for approval;

  • Process daily bank transactions and reconcile bank accounts;

  • Perform general bookkeeping and accounting administration tasks;

  • Assist with account reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records;

  • Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up where necessary;

  • Track and manage invoice and purchase-order approval workflows in Precoro;

  • Proactively follow up with colleagues to obtain required approvals and supporting documentation;

  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation;

  • Support month-end closing activities;

  • Support various accounting activities as required by the finance team;

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and administrative efficiency;

  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Your Profile:

  • Previous experience in operational finance, accounting, bookkeeping, or financial administration.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Comfortable communicating with stakeholders across the business and proactively following up on outstanding actions and approvals.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Proactive mindset with a strong sense of ownership.

  • Strong, hands-on experience with Exact (Exact Online) is required.

  • Experience with Precoro, or a similar purchase-to-pay and invoice-approval tool, is a strong plus.

  • Solid understanding of standard finance work processes, including purchase-to-pay, order-to-cash, bank reconciliation, and month-end close.

  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
