IE University's IE School of Architecture and Design is looking for an Junior Lab Technician to join its team!The Associate Director's main responsibility will be to support IE Foundation's team in successfully developing and implementing fundraising activities and projects funded by corporate donors.
What will you be doing? You will play a key role in the daily operations of the Fab Lab, assisting students and faculty with their projects, ensuring the lab runs smoothly, and contributing to design and fabrication initiatives.

Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the management of the Fab Lab, working alongside the Senior Lab
- Technician on equipment maintenance, material and consumable management,keeping the space organized and clean, budgeting, and warehouse management.
- Assisting and supervising students and faculty, guiding them in the proper use ofmachines and tools.
- Participating in academic and collaborative projects, applying knowledge in bothdigital and analog design and fabrication.
- Organizing and leading workshops, helping the school community develop newskills.
- Implementing and ensuring compliance with safety protocols and occupationalrisk prevention, maintaining a safe and efficient workspace
Qualifications
What are we looking for?We’d love to have you on our team if you have:
- Experience in digital fabrication, including techniques such as laser cutting, 3Dprinting (FDM, LDM, SLA), CNC milling, vinyl cutting, robotic arms, and more.
- Knowledge and experience in woodworking, including the use of tools andmachines.
- Skills in digital design, with experience in 2D and 3D software such as AutoCAD,Rhinoceros 3D, Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, etc.
- Education in digital fabrication, model-making, design, or architecture will bepositively valued.
- Fluency in spoken and written English, essential for working in our multiculturalenvironment.
