About Us
Overview
The Junior Risk Analyst will support the Futures Commission Merchant (FCM) Operational Risk function, focusing on identifying, assessing, monitoring, and mitigating operational risks across clearing, execution, and operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor participant funding levels to ensure positions remain fully collateralized.
- Support identification of key risk indicators (KRIs) related to trade processing, operations, reconciliations, and client money segregation.
- Review daily clearing activity, open positions, and settlement obligations.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly risk reports for the CRO.
- Monitor settlement and payment flows.
- Log and track operational loss events and near-misses in the firm’s risk management program.
- Assist with stress testing and scenario analysis.
- Escalate risk limit breaches and operational incidents.
- Support regulatory reporting and documentation requirements.
- Maintain risk dashboards and key risk indicators.
- Participate in default management and business continuity exercises.
- Help document and assess operational risks arising from new products, system changes, and process modifications.

Regulatory and Compliance Support
- Support compliance with CFTC Regulation 1.25 (Investment of customer funds), Part 22 and NFA rules applicable to FCM operations.
- Assist in preparation for regulatory examinations (NFA, CFTC) and internal audit
- Help ensure adherence to customer segregation and secured amount requirements under CFTC 1.20 and 30.7.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
- 1 or more years of experience in risk, trading operations, or financial services
