Based in Albany, Kristin School is an independent, co-educational, non-denominational school with more than 1800 students from Early Learning to Year 13. Kristin has over 350 staff from our Early Childhood Centre to our Senior School, and is guided by the strong values of progress, vision, integrity and love.


Working within our Junior School, we are seeking four (4) Learning Assistants to join our team for Terms 3 and 4, 2026. These roles will support classes of new Year 0 students, and specific Year 1 - 6 students. You will build relationships with students to help achieve positive classroom outcomes in supporting their assigned activities and tasks. Joining an established team of experienced Learning Assistants, the hours are 8.30am - 12.30pm Monday to Friday. The potential for full days, 8.30am - 3.00pm can be discussed. These are term time only roles, and are fixed-term contracts until December 2026.


Important Skills | Nga Pūkenga Motuhake

The ideal candidates will bring the following skills and experience:

  • Teacher Aide/ Learning Assistant experience (preferred)
  • Is patient and enjoys working with students
  • An understanding of neurodiversity and inclusion is preferred
  • Is nurturing and flexible
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google docs/Gmail
  • Committed to Kristin’s values; “Progress with vision, integrity and love”.
