The Junior Store Designer Mission:
Shape the future of the Astrid & Miyu retail experience by transforming ideas into beautifully considered retail spaces, taking projects from initial concept through to completion. Working closely with our Creative, Retail and Project Management teams, you'll combine strong conceptual thinking with excellent technical capability to create commercially successful stores that are true to our brand and surprise and delight our customers.
How you'll drive success:
Design elevated, warm and design-led retail environments, translating the A&M brand into inspiring physical spaces that feel premium, welcoming and commercially successful, and confidently bringing creative ideas to life in thoughtful, practical and commercially viable retail environments.
Lead projects from concept through design development, documentation and delivery, managing multiple design projects end-to-end with consistency, quality and attention to detail, including site visits throughout the design and construction process to ensure exceptional delivery standards.
Develop creative concepts, mood boards, layouts, material palettes and presentation documents, while sourcing materials, furniture, fixtures, fittings and styling elements and producing accurate technical drawing packages, design intent documentation and detailed joinery drawings using AutoCAD.
Collaborate closely with internal teams including Project Management, Visual Merchandising, Brand Creative, Print Design and Retail, as well as external architects, consultants, suppliers and contractors, to deliver a seamless 360° design process and ensure design intent is maintained throughout construction.
Research store locations, customer demographics, materials, furniture, fixtures, competitors and emerging retail trends to inform design decisions, while continuously evolving and elevating the A&M retail experience and balancing creativity with technical excellence.
What you'll need to thrive:
Natural alignment with our values, reflected in how you show up.
2+ years experience in retail, commercial or interior design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating concept development through to built outcomes.
An exceptional eye for design, materials, spatial planning, detailing and styling, with a passion for creating memorable customer experiences.
Strong conceptual thinking and the ability to interpret creative briefs into compelling, commercially viable design solutions.
Excellent technical knowledge, with the ability to develop concepts into buildable, well-resolved documentation and produce technical drawing packages and joinery documentation.
