Job Summary


The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with our strategic customers. This role focuses on maximizing sales opportunities, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving market share growth within assigned key accounts.


Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive account plans for assigned key accounts, aligning with the company's strategic objectives.

  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within customer organizations.

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned accounts.

  • Negotiate and manage complex contracts, pricing agreements, and service level agreements.

  • Proactively identify customer needs and develop tailored solutions utilizing BD's product portfolio.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., marketing, technical support, supply chain) to ensure seamless customer experience and service delivery.

  • Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer feedback to inform account strategies.

  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to key stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales activities, and forecasts in the CRM system.

  • Provide regular reports on account performance, market opportunities, and challenges to management.


Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in key account management, sales, or business development, preferably within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.

  • Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships at all levels.

  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Willingness to travel as required.
