Key Account Manager ( CNS )
Description
The Key Account Manager (KAM) – CNS will be responsible for developing and maintaining strategic relationships with key accounts, driving sales growth, and ensuring effective execution of the CNS portfolio. The role requires strong account management capabilities, in-depth knowledge of CNS therapies, and the ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver customer-centric solutions.
Essential Functions
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key accounts.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers and address their needs effectively.
- Understand customer business objectives and identify opportunities to enhance value in the CNS segment.
Sales and Account Growth
- Achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth within assigned accounts.
- Develop and implement strategic account plans to increase market share and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide tailored solutions that meet customer requirements.
Market and Product Expertise
- Maintain a strong understanding of the CNS market, competitive landscape, industry trends, and emerging therapies.
- Educate customers on existing and new CNS products, highlighting their clinical benefits and applications.
Strategic Planning and Reporting
- Monitor account performance and provide regular updates on sales activities and market trends to management.
- Develop strategies to address account challenges and capitalize on growth opportunities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Marketing, Medical, and Research teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of business strategies.
- Communicate customer insights and feedback to internal teams to support product enhancements and future development.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in industry conferences, scientific meetings, and other relevant events.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Undertake business travel as required to support customer engagement and organizational objectives.
- Contribute to special projects and initiatives assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Key Account Management or Sales within the pharmaceutical industry, preferably in the CNS therapeutic area.
- Strong understanding of CNS therapies, market dynamics, and healthcare systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to develop and execute strategic plans.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel extensively to meet customers and attend industry events.
