Key Account Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Key Account Manager based in the United States.

This role is a high-impact commercial position focused on managing and growing strategic e-commerce partnerships within a major global retail channel. You will be responsible for driving revenue performance, optimizing promotional strategies, and identifying new growth opportunities through data-driven insights. The position requires a strong balance of analytical thinking and relationship management, as you will work closely with key stakeholders to influence business decisions and improve category performance. You will play a central role in shaping sales strategies for key publishing segments, leveraging market trends and consumer behavior analysis to maximize impact. In addition, you will collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to align commercial plans and ensure execution excellence. Accountabilities:

  • Own revenue, profitability, and performance targets for assigned key retail accounts.
  • Develop and execute promotional and sales strategies to drive growth and maximize category performance.
  • Manage forecasting, budgeting, and sales planning activities for assigned business lines.
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities and inform strategic decisions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders and retail partners.
  • Present insights, forecasts, and performance recommendations to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Identify and leverage promotional and merchandising opportunities to optimize account results.
  • Provide actionable feedback to internal teams including marketing, publishing, and product stakeholders.
  • Conduct competitive and market analysis to support ongoing strategy development.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment on commercial objectives and execution plans.
  • Continuously monitor e-commerce trends and adapt strategies to evolving market dynamics.
  • Requirements:

    • 7+ years of experience in key account management, sales, e-commerce, or related commercial roles.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Analytics, or equivalent professional experience.
    • Strong experience managing large retail or online marketplace accounts (Amazon experience highly preferred).
    • Proven ability to manage forecasting, budgeting, and revenue targets effectively.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
    • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities.
    • Strong communication and presentation skills, with confidence influencing senior stakeholders.
    • High level of organization, accountability, and project management discipline.
    • Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with e-commerce analytics and reporting tools.
    • Strategic thinker with strong curiosity for market trends and consumer behavior.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving digital retail environment.
