Kitchen Assistant

Job Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

Job Summary: The Kitchen Assistant is responsible for supporting the kitchen staff by performing various tasks to ensure cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in the kitchen. This role is essential to maintaining a hygienic and well-functioning kitchen environment.


Key Responsibilities:

• Wash and sanitize cutlery, crockery, trays, and cups to maintain hygiene standards.

• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including pots, pans, and utensils.

• Vacuum, sweep, and mop kitchen floors to ensure they are clean and free of debris.

• Dust and wipe kitchen tables and surfaces to maintain a tidy workspace.

• Clear rubbish bins and dispose of waste in a sanitary manner.

• Perform housekeeping duties in the kitchen and dining areas as needed.

• Wash toilets (if required) to maintain hygiene standards in all areas.

• Assist with the overall cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen.

• Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

• Perform any additional tasks as requested by clients or kitchen management.


Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a kitchen assistant or similar role is preferred but not required.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects as needed.

• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

• Team player with good communication skills.

• Additional allowance will be given for WSQ Basic Food certifications
