As a member of our Food & Beverage services team, you will always provide the highest quality of customer service, while working for ESS. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but ESS may identify other responsibilities of the position.
The responsibilities of the Kitchen General Helper are:
- Cleans and maintains dining room area including shelves and floors.
- Cleans and sets dining room tables and fills beverage, salt, sugar, and other condiment containers.
- Cleans and maintains supplies for steam and salad tables, such as dishes and utensils.
- Prepares coffee and cold beverages and may be required to work on steam tables from time to time.
- Serving guests on the main buffet lines.
- Restocking of all Dining room Areas.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
- Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
- Complies with all ESS, HACCP policies and procedures.
- Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
- Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
You will be successful in your role as a Kitchen General Helper if you have the following qualifications:
- Experience as a dining room attendant in a larger construction camp or institutional setting preferred.
- Strong English speaking, reading, writing and listening comprehension is required.
- Must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items.
- Must have good attendance record.
- Must have good disciplinary record.
- Personal and professional integrity, appearance, and demeanor.
- May be required to work shifts, including split shifts – Days & Nights.
Position Requirements:
- Must undergo and pass a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test (if applicable-current associates are exempt).
- Food Safe Certification
- Shift: 10hr/Day
- Rotation: 14 Days on/14 Days off
The hourly wage for this position is $29.70. Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
