Kitchen Supervisor

Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible Kitchen Supervisor to lead daily kitchen operations, uphold food quality and safety standards, train staff, and coordinate with service teams for smooth food preparation and service.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient workflow and timely food preparation
  • Lead kitchen staff by training and guiding kitchen assistants and cooks to maintain high performance
  • Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control to meet company standards and recipes
  • Manage kitchen inventory by ordering stock and ensuring proper storage and handling of ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in compliance with NEA and food hygiene regulations
  • Assist in scheduling staff and managing workflow during peak hours to optimize kitchen productivity
  • Collaborate closely with service staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen and dining operations

Required competencies and certifications

  • Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food & beverage environment
  • Leadership or supervisory experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required
