Kitchen Supervisor
Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible Kitchen Supervisor to lead daily kitchen operations, uphold food quality and safety standards, train staff, and coordinate with service teams for smooth food preparation and service.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient workflow and timely food preparation
- Lead kitchen staff by training and guiding kitchen assistants and cooks to maintain high performance
- Monitor food quality, presentation, and portion control to meet company standards and recipes
- Manage kitchen inventory by ordering stock and ensuring proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety standards in compliance with NEA and food hygiene regulations
- Assist in scheduling staff and managing workflow during peak hours to optimize kitchen productivity
- Collaborate closely with service staff to ensure smooth and efficient kitchen and dining operations
Required competencies and certifications
- Basic knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food & beverage environment
- Leadership or supervisory experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good teamwork and communication skills
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required
