L2 Application Support Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior/Mid-Level/ Junior L2 Application Support Engineer to provide production support for Java-based applications. The role involves incident management, troubleshooting, issue resolution, and operational support to ensure application stability and performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Level 2 support for Java-based applications.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and production issues.
  • Support Root Cause Analysis (RCA) activities and issue resolution.
  • Write and execute SQL queries for data validation and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams.
  • Coordinate rollback activities during failed deployments.
  • Update and maintain configuration and operational documentation.
  • Restart, monitor, and support batch processing activities.
  • Participate in incident reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills

  • Working knowledge of Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience supporting applications in production environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with batch processing and application monitoring.
  • Ability to troubleshoot application-related issues effectively.

Experience

  • Approximately 1–9 years of relevant experience in Application Support, Production Support, or related roles.
