<\/span><\/div>The Peer Educator will be responsible for supporting the outreach team in planning of service delivery by the project. The peer educators would be responsible to identify individual or groups who are at risk of HIV/AIDS and their partners who require services including the networks. Peer educator will make inroads to these networks and motivate them to use condoms, recognize the need for regular medical checkup and visit to preferred providers or clinics, recognize the need for HIV testing and safe disposal of used condoms/needles and syringes. Will motivate the individuals or groups to improve their self\-esteem and communities to access services and other social development benefits.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/div>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/span><\/span><\/b><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p><\/div> - Assist the Medical Officer during client\nmedical history taking and examination<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>- Conduct clinical examination of the client including\ngeneral examination, systemic examination and internal examination; and create\nindividual client file such as body weight, height, blood pressure levels and\nany other medical findings.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>- Guide patients for various tests as advised by\na doctor, support in sample collection, storage and transport as per protocols.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>- Willing to get trained/updated\non service delivery components such as PrEP and HRT<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>- Support the Clinic Manager and outreach team\nin service delivery planning and organising health camps.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>- Perform point of care test at the\nclinic / satellite clinics / field level as per the demand.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>- Maintain\nuniversal precaution for blood safety related issues and take care of the cleanliness of the clinic.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>- Explain the medication dosage to the client\nbased on the prescription.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>- Ensure at least 10 clients are prescribed for\nhormone therapy and medicines are sold from pharmacy. Discuss with new clients\nin the community and clinic for this purpose.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>- Maintain record\nof medicines/testing kits/ necessary consumables and forecast requirement of the same on a monthly basis to\nensure adequate stock\- as hard copy and computerized records.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>- Participate in review meetings; and assist the\nteam in identifying and addressing the gap areas in patient care and clinic\nmanagement.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>- Ensure client confidentiality, data security\nand protection as informed during induction mentioned in the SOP.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>- Ensure that a friendly environment is created\nthe clients are comfortable.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>- Any other work assigned by supervisor.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span><\/span><\/p>- Bachelor\u2019s Degree/diploma in Nursing with 3\nyears of relevant experience<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li>- Trans identified person is preferred for this\nposition with knowledge of English, Telugu and Hindi language<\/span><\/span><\/span>
