Laboratory Messenger - Bayview Laboratory

Bayview Laboratory is seeking a reliable and professional Laboratory Messenger to support its operations. This role is essential in ensuring the safe and timely transport of critical materials between the lab, community clients, and partner facilities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities :

• Safely collect, transport, store, and register biological samples
• Maintain accurate records, paperwork, and proper time-stamping
• Handle incoming deliveries and distribute packages
• Provide general support, including making and receiving calls, housekeeping and lab operations
• Follow all safety and infection control protocols, and use PPE consistently

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license
• Access to a reliable personal vehicle
• Valid insurance coverage
• Clean driving record
• Prior customer service experience in a healthcare setting is considered an asset

Additional Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, email, internet use)
