Responsibilities



According to the procedures established at AIM, the technician will, among other tasks, have to perform the following:


  • Preparation of solid samples (machining).
  • Putting into solution the solid samples.
  • Analysis of solid samples with the Arc Emission Spectroscopy.
  • Analysis of solid samples with the ICP Spectroscopy.
  • Analysis of samples in solution by Atomic Absorption.
  • Analysis of solder powder particle size by microscopy.
  • Preparation and analysis by Iodometric Titration.
  • Sample results data entry.
  • Communicate the sample results to the parties involved.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work area;
  • Keep inventory control of products needed for analysis.
  • Responsible for IQC, IPQC, OQC.
  • Responsible for equipment calibration.
  • Assist the Operations Manager in ensuring effective implementation of different; quality/environmental management systems (ISO9001, ISO14001, IATF16949).
  • Supports or handles quality complaints.
  • The technician must be available to carry out some tasks in other AIM laboratories and act as a technical substitute by interim for the laboratory supervisor.


Qualifications



  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in analytical chemistry or Engineering/Science
  • Experience with quality control tools and techniques
  • Bilingual (English/ Malay) spoken and written
  • Responsible, autonomous, meticulous, well organized
  • Flexible working hours
  • Experience in laboratory analysis/QA/QC (Asset)
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word and Access programs (Asset)
  • Familiar with ISO 9001 :2015, ISO 17025 norms, IATF16949 (Asset)
