Laminator Rewind Operator
Job Summary
To remove coated rolls paperboard from the rewinder and prepare new cores to ensure that the Laminating Machine continues uninterrupted production according to the production plan
What you will do
- Follow production safety rules.
- Work according to existing procedures/standards. Continuously improve these procedures/standards as required.
- Ensure that production is carried out according to the production plan.
- Ensure that all quality parameters are continuously met and carry out all quality checks as required.
- Discharge coated rolls from the rewinder for onward movement and storage.
- Prepare new cores for the rewind.
- Execute assigned tasks during setups to minimize setup time and waste.
- Communicate any non-conformances to the Coating Operator
- Identify anomalies and raise tags.
- Remove tags by correcting anomalies.
- Participate in WCM teams.
- Create OPLs and SOPs

Minimum Education
- Matric
- N6 Technical Diploma
- Technical education to follow basic Tetra Pak work routines and standards.

- Ensure 5S is maintained on the laminator rewind and associated areas
- Basic computer literacy including MSOffice, P2
- Ability to understand and operate an HMI.
- Basic operational fault finding
- Crane operating and basic rigging.
- Operate pallet truck.
- Competencies as indicated by the Tetra Pak Global Competency matrix and Tetra Pak AM Skills matrix, which may be updated from time to time
