Land Surveyor

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Land Surveyor / Geomatics Surveyor to join our established Land Survey team, delivering high profile topographical and geospatial surveying projects.

Based in London, with a focus around Woking/Guildford, the role will focus primarily on land and geomatics surveying projects across the UK, with additional exposure to geospatial data, CAD, and wider digital survey solutions, as well as a range of work spanning minerals and waste, residential and commercial development, infrastructure, power, industrial and built environment sectors.

The Role

You’ll support the delivery of surveying projects from fieldwork through to final outputs, working closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams. The role includes:

• Conducting land and topographical surveys across diverse environments (landfills, quarries, urban, greenfield, highways and rail)
• Processing survey data and producing deliverables using LSS and AutoCAD, including volumetric calculations and reports
• Working independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality outputs aligned to client specifications
• Supporting site work across the UK, including travel and short stays (up to a week at a time)
• Contributing to a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team including GIS analysts, CAD specialists, and data professionals

You’ll collaborate with colleagues across Geospatial and Data Solutions, including CAD, GIS, and data teams, on complex and impactful projects, with opportunities to broaden your skills across the wider geospatial field.

About You

You’ll bring:
• Demonstrable experience (2–5 years) in land surveying using GNSS and Total Stations
• A degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field, ideally working towards CICES or RICS membership
• Experience with AutoCAD and LSS (knowledge of n4ce beneficial)
• Strong data processing, analytical, and reporting skills
• Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, self-motivated approach
• A full UK driving licence (Category B) and willingness to travel and work on site across the UK
• The ability to work outdoors across varied and sometimes challenging environments

Desirable:
• Laser scanning and processing (e.g. Register360)
• Drone piloting certification (A2 CofC or GVC) and data processing (DJI Terra or Pix4D)
• GIS experience (ArcGIS Pro or QGIS)
• Experience with RD8000 Radio Detection equipment
