Lateral Partner Recruiting Assistant

Based in Washington, D.C. or New York, the Lateral Partner Recruiting Assistant will assist the Department in carrying out various lateral partner-related programs and functions, with fluid responsibilities as needed and assigned. The assistant will have visibility into a broad spectrum of lateral partner recruitment across all practices and be a part of a busy and dynamic team. The assistant will also be part of the integration function for all lateral partners hired across the firm.

The Lateral Partner Recruiting Assistant reports to the Chief of Lateral Partner Recruitment & Integration with additional support lines to the Senior Director of Recruiting and Senior Managers of Lateral Partner Recruiting & Integration, serving as a global resource for the Department.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing administrative support to the Chief of Lateral Partner Recruitment & Integration, the Senior Director of Recruiting, and the Senior Managers of Lateral Partner Recruiting & Integration.
  • Maintaining the applicant tracking database and related processes, including data entry, management and analysis.
  • Preparing interview schedules: high-volume communications with internal stakeholders to build effective candidate schedules, sending calendar invites, preparing meeting materials, and maintaining organized communications with external parties.
  • Soliciting and tracking interview comments.
  • Managing interview operations: reserving conference rooms and arranging catering, liaising with Reception, Catering and Information Support teams, and interacting with the Travel Department as needed.
  • Maintaining organized candidate files keeping the Department updated on missing or incomplete items.
  • Maintaining search firm agreements.
  • Assisting in preparing committee meeting materials and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Assisting with market research. Familiarity with and/or interest in learning AI resources a plus.
  • Communicating as needed with candidates, recruiters, and internal stakeholders.
  • Performing other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interface with all levels of staff and management.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and priorities with moving deadlines.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Sharp attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

Experience:

  • Candidate should have professional experience in addition to a college or university degree.

Compensation & Benefits:

The annual compensation range for this position is $60-70k. The salary offered within this range will depend upon qualifications and other operational considerations.
