The Compatibility & Coating Solutions Team aims at studying the materials compatibility with unconventional fluids and developing innovative coatings/surface treatment solutions. The team evaluates, develops, and industrializes new emerging technologies to guarantee the best performances of the new Energy Transition products enriching Baker Hughes portfolio.

Partner with the best

We are seeking a highly motivated person with experience in coating technologies such as painting and plating. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the definition of internal standards for coating processes.

As a Lead Coatings Engineer - Thermal Spray & Turbine (f/m/d), you will be responsible for:

  • Defining of internal standards for coating processes for gas turbine applications (thermal spray, diffusive coatings,…)

  • Develop innovative coatings and technologies, from R&D to full industrialization

  • Qualifying of external suppliers.

  • Resolving of non-conformities and deviations in coating processes.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have a MSc or PhD in Materials Engineering, Chemistry or similar.

  • Have technical expertise on coating processes, particularly on thermal spray and coatings for high temperature application, materials/coatings characterization and testing.

  • Proven experience in research and development, managing collaborations with universities and external laboratories, and leading process industrialization activities

  • Have excellent communication and written skills in English.

  • Be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with the team and the internal and external customers.

  • Be able to travel internationally.

  • Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to solve problems and provide solutions.

  • Have understanding of the Energy Industry and exhibit the highest standards of ethical conduct and comply with company policies.

The initial pay range for this position will be EUR € 43,599.34 To 59,400.

The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay.
