Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead operator communicates priorities for daily tasks to compost heavy equipment operators.
  • Lead operator performs routine safety meetings, observational behavior assessments, monitors compost systems and communicates directly reports to compost operations manager.
  • Operates front wheel loader or excavator to move green waste, compost & MSW organics to designated areas.
  • Performs routine maintenance on loader, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning.
  • Perform lot cleaning by removing debris manually and with equipment.
  • Assist customers with unloading material when needed.
  • Communicates with third party drivers for outgoing loads of finished compost and wood chips.
  • Understands facility and stormwater compliance regulations.
  • Directs compost helpers and other contractors for daily tasks.

Education

  • HS Diploma/G.E.D.

Experience and Competencies

  • Position requires the ability to work with both internal and external customers and provide outstanding customer service.
  • Position requires effective communication skills.
  • Perform inspections and report findings to manager.

Pay $28.50
