Lead Installer
An installer is responsible for the installation of complex millwork components. They are responsible for the finished aesthetic of the elevation / room or project. They excelled at the apprenticeship level and are eager to expand their knowledge, add to their responsibility and add value.
Expectations|
Responsible for the final installation of cabinets and millwork elements
Advanced understanding of layout.
Ability to assist in laying out complex features.
Ability to install millwork and trim pieces
Have a clear understanding of quality standards.
Understand what straight is and why it is important.
Understand what level and plumb is and why it is important
Understand what flat is and why it is important.
Ability to scribe components to irregular shapes.
Ability to mentor and teach install apprentices.
Communicate clearly with site supervisors/owners/ property managers.
Establish timelines and communicate with project managers any issues that will prevent scheduling targets.
Present clear pick-up lists or any necessary items to complete the installation
Ability to navigate job sites via architectural plans
Know where all water shut-offs and electrical shut-offs
Notify necessary parties if any loud or evasive processes need to be done in order to complete the install. Be respectful of their needs and solution solution-oriented
Notify necessary parties if any process will jeopardize the fire and life safety system.
Extremely good problem-solving skills.
First aid certified.
