Lead Inventory Control Coordinator

Pay Rate: $21.00 an hour

SUMMARY: To maintain inventory accuracy and levels and provide technical leadership to Warehouse team. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Audit transactions to maintain inventory accuracy
  • Forward completed documents to Finance
  • Prepare cycle counts, inventory and count reconciliation
  • Ensure all items received have been confirmed and processed
  • Maintain the inventory location system and use it to maximize pick efficiency
  • Assist in researching discrepancies (i.e. shipment variances, damages/defects, substitutions and tracing of lost shipment) to identify root causes
  • Coordinate incoming shipments, including special events (i.e. concerts and sales shows)
  • Monitor receipts to ensure timely and accurate processing including data entry
  • Provide leadership, direction and assistance to Warehouse team
  • Assist with administrative responsibilities and perform Supervisor’s duties as needed
  • Monitor office supplies and equipment and process necessary orders
  • Maintain warehouse equipment (i.e. forklift, dock leveler, pallet jacks, etc.)
  • Keep warehouse organized and clean

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge and Certification

Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • Two years inventory control experience including automated inventory management
  • Previous experience in the safe use / operation of warehouse equipment

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of food and beverage warehousing and safety
  • Knowledge of inventory control (i.e. First In First Out (FIFO), Cycle Counts)
  • Knowledge of receiving products
  • Forklift Certification

REQUIRED TRAINING

  • Treasure Island guest service training
  • Effectively Handling Harassment training
  • Inventory control system application
  • Training needed to obtain and maintain Forklift Certification
  • Any position-related training as determined by department manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to walk and / or stand or sit for long periods throughout the day
  • Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel and stoop
  • Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
  • Must be able to reach and twist frequently
  • Must have the ability to independently lift 50 pounds routinely
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions
  • Must have good eye hand coordination
  • Must be able to operate foot pedals

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

  • Work is performed in the Warehouse and throughout the property including the gaming floor, which has flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke; outdoors and extreme temperatures
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Extensive computer use
  • Occasionally overtime may be required
  • Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
