Lead, Legal & Contract Management

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Serve as the principal legal advisor to the CEO\nand executive leadership on corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.<\/span>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Provide strategic legal guidance to business\nunits to support informed decision\-making and effective risk management.<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Lead the drafting, review, negotiation, and\nadministration of all commercial and legal contracts across the Company.<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Identify, assess, and proactively manage legal\nand contractual risks to protect the Company\u2019s interests.<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Establish, improve, and oversee contract\nmanagement processes, templates, and approval workflows.<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory\nobligations, including CAMA requirements and sector\-specific regulations.<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Oversee company secretarial functions, including\nBoard and management meetings, resolutions, and governance documentation.<\/span>
<\/span><\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Manage engagement with external legal counsel,\nconsultants, and regulatory authorities.<\/span>
<\/p>

· <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Support audits, licensing, permits, and\nregulatory filings through accurate documentation and timely submissions.<\/span>

  Requirements<\/h3>

  Education<\/span><\/b>
  <\/p>

  • Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from a recognized\n university.<\/span>
    <\/li>
  • <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Barrister\-at\-Law (B.L), Nigerian Law School.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/li>
  • LL.M is an added advantage.<\/span><\/span>

    Experience<\/span><\/b>
    <\/p>

    • Minimum of 6\u20138 years\u2019 post\-call\n experience<\/b>, with strong exposure to commercial contracts and corporate\n legal practice.<\/span>

    • <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Proven experience leading:<\/span><\/span>
      <\/li><\/ul>

      o <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Contract negotiation and management<\/span><\/span>

      o <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Regulatory compliance and licensing<\/span><\/span>

      o <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Corporate governance and company secretarial functions<\/span><\/span>

      • Experience within oil & gas, engineering, or project\-driven\nenvironments<\/b> is highly desirable.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

        • Proven skills in commercial negotiations,\nleadership, and stakeholder management.<\/span>

        • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation\ncommunication skills.<\/span>

        • Strong analytical and problem\-solving ability.<\/span>
