We’re looking for a Lead React Developer to join us at Telia.

I’m Andrius Dmuchovskis, Head of TV Systems, and I’m searching for someone ready to grow with us. We’re a supportive, forward-thinking team focused on building high-scale TV platforms delivering seamless streaming experiences to hundreds of thousands of users across multiple devices.

What you’ll do:

Build high-performance TV and web applications using React and TypeScript in a demanding, large-scale streaming environment. Lead and manage team of React developers: coaching, 1-to-1s, implementing best practices:

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 7 React developers, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement

  • Run regular 1:1s, provide actionable feedback, and support career development to help engineers reach their full potential

  • Drive effective delegation and task distribution, ensuring balanced workloads and avoiding knowledge silos or bottlenecks

  • Develop scalable applications for the Telia Play platform across TV environments (Samsung, LG, Android)

  • Create fast, intuitive, and visually polished user interfaces optimized for media consumption

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver responsive and reliable streaming experiences

  • Optimize performance for high-load, cross-platform TV applications and continuously improve existing solutions.

  • Strong leadership and people skills — able to mentor, support, and challenge engineers in a constructive way

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to continuously learn and share knowledge within the team

  • Proven experience in frontend development using React and TypeScript

  • Strong knowledge of modern frontend development principles and building scalable UI architectures

  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and performant code in a collaborative Agile environment

  • Interest in building high-performance applications (experience with media/streaming is a plus)

  • Fluency in English.

Monthly salary range for this position 5520–6900 Eur (gross) + annual performance/sales bonuses. Although it may vary depending on your skills and experience.
