Animal Emergency Clinic Fraser Valley (AECFV) has been providing emergency and critical care to the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley since 1996. We are an AAHA-accredited animal hospital supporting more than 100 general practices, and one of the largest and busiest standalone emergency hospitals in Western Canada.
Our 8,000 sq ft veterinary facility runs 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, staffed by a dedicated team committed to the highest standard of emergency medicine for small animals. We house one of the largest blood banks in Canada and are equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment tools.

As a Veterinary Technician Lead, you'll provide exceptional patient care while serving as a mentor and resource for your fellow Veterinary Technicians.
- Mentor, coach, and support Veterinary Technicians to encourage professional growth, confidence, and clinical excellence
- Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency and specialty veterinary hospital environment
- Partner with hospital leadership to improve workflows, efficiency, and patient outcomes
- Support team members during complex, critical, and high-stress cases
- Help foster a positive, respectful, and collaborative workplace culture
- Assist with onboarding, training, and development initiatives for Veterinary Technicians
- Contribute to scheduling support and team performance initiatives
- Serve as a clinical role model by demonstrating advanced technical skills and patient advocacy
- Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and clients to ensure seamless patient care
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) required
- Previous leadership, supervisory, or mentorship experience preferred
- Strong emergency, critical care, or specialty medicine experience preferred
- Positive attitude with a demonstrated ability to motivate and support team members
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm, focused, and supportive in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for patient care, professional development, and continuous learning
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
Schedule
- 3 to 4 shifts of 8 to 10 hours per week
- One weekend shift per month required
- Rotating schedule including some statutory holidays
Pay:
- $32–45/hr based on experience
- $4 shift differential for evening and overnight hours
