Lead Scrum Master

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Scrum Master to drive agile delivery of AI capabilities across Microsoft 365 and OS platforms, with a focus on agentic solutions and workflows — including the skills, plug-ins, and extensibility that power intelligent copilots and autonomous agents. In this role, you will serve as a servant leader and product owner for one or more engineering teams building and shipping agents, skills, and plug-ins that transform how the enterprise workforce gets work done.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as servant leader and product owner for one or more teams building agentic AI capabilities — autonomous agents, AI-driven workflows, skills, and plug-ins — across Microsoft 365 (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, Graph, Copilot) and OS platforms (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android)
  • Own, define, and prioritize the product backlog of agents, skills, plug-ins, and workflow capabilities, translating business needs and the product vision into clear, actionable user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Facilitate all agile ceremonies — sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement — for teams delivering Copilot extensibility, agent skills, and plug-in integrations
  • Set sprint goals and make backlog trade-off decisions that maximize value delivery, balancing new agentic capabilities against platform, security, and responsible AI requirements
  • Partner with engineering leads, architects, and stakeholders to maintain a healthy, well-groomed backlog and ensure sprint commitments align with the product roadmap and strategic objectives
  • Manage cross-team dependencies inherent to agentic solutions — shared skills libraries, plug-in contracts, platform APIs, model services, and Microsoft 365 / OS platform integration points
  • Identify, track, and proactively resolve or escalate impediments, risks, and dependencies that affect delivery of agentic capabilities and their underlying skills and plug-ins
  • Review and analyze team velocity, flow metrics, and delivery data to drive continuous improvement and predictable shipping of agents, skills, and workflows
  • Make decisions in complex delivery situations requiring in-depth evaluation of team dynamics, agentic architecture dependencies, and product trade-offs, influencing teams and stakeholders to achieve outcomes
  • Act as the primary point of contact for the product within cross-team collaborative efforts, representing priorities, scope, and delivery status
  • Promote transparency through accurate reporting of progress, risks, and team health to engineering managers, product leadership, and program stakeholders
  • Champion responsible AI delivery practices — ensuring evaluation, grounding, safety, and governance of agents, skills, and plug-ins are built into the definition of done
  • Serve as a servant leader and product owner for one or more teams delivering agentic AI capabilities, skills, and plug-ins across Microsoft 365 and OS platforms
  • Own and prioritize the backlog to maximize value, translating product vision and business needs into actionable team commitments
  • Drive predictable, high-quality delivery of agents, skills, plug-ins, and AI workflows through disciplined agile practices
  • Coordinate the cross-team dependencies and shared contracts that agentic solutions rely on, protecting delivery commitments
  • Embed responsible AI, evaluation, and governance practices into team delivery cadence and definition of done
  • Maintain transparency of team progress, priorities, risks, and health through clear, data-driven reporting to leadership and stakeholders
  • Cultivate a culture of collaboration, experimentation with emerging agentic patterns, psychological safety, and continuous learning

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Agile Scrum Master experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience owning a backlog and driving delivery for teams building AI/ML, generative AI, or agentic AI capabilities — including agents, skills, plug-ins, and AI-driven workflows
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem and Copilot extensibility model (agents, skills, plug-ins, message extensions, Copilot Studio) and/or OS platform engineering
  • Working understanding of agentic concepts — agent orchestration, tool/plug-in calling, skills composition, and multi-step autonomous workflows — sufficient to define requirements and coordinate dependencies
  • Experience working within a scaled agile environment (SAFe, LeSS, or similar) and coordinating cross-team dependencies on shared platforms, APIs, and skills/plug-in contracts
  • Hands-on proficiency with agile tooling such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Rally, including backlog management, dashboards, and reporting on flow and delivery metrics
  • Experience supporting teams in a regulated financial services or other highly regulated environment, with awareness of enterprise risk, security, responsible AI, and compliance considerations
  • Strong facilitation, prioritization, and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate delivery status, priorities, and risks for both technical teams and senior stakeholders
