Join us as a Lead Shipping and Receiving Coordinator in JR Automation's Service and Support division located Holland, MI as we work together to bring innovative automation solutions to life.
This is a Full Time and on-site position located in Holland, Michigan.
How you'll make an impact:
Actively oversee and participate in the movement of materials into, within, and out of the facility to ensure timely and accurate material flow.
Coordinate truckload freight arrangements by developing freight requirements, requesting quotes from approved carriers, analyzing carrier proposals, and scheduling loads.
Partner with Purchasing to create and manage freight-related purchase orders.
Support and assist Shipping and Receiving and other JR team members in resolving logistics-related issues.
Provide hands-on training and guidance to S/R Specialists and other Leads on job responsibilities, procedures, and best practices.
Mentor logistics team members while modeling positive behavior, professionalism, and a strong team-focused attitude.
Participate in and promote Lean and Six Sigma initiatives related to Shipping and Receiving.
Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, accuracy, and throughput.
Safely operate overhead cranes, hi-lo (forklift) equipment, and other material handling equipment as required.
Comply with all safety policies, procedures, and OSHA requirements.
Serve as the team's SME in the following areas:
Truckload freight arrangements
International shipping
Material handling equipment usage and safety
Logistics process knowledge and troubleshooting

What you'll bring:
3+ years in a business environment; 2 or more years of logistics, materials management, or supply chain experience preferred.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to obtain a Hi-Lo (Forklift) and Overhead Crane license while employed at JR
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis as part of daily job duties.
