- Spearhead the modernisation and unification of diverse systems, data feeds, and platforms into a cohesive Azure-based environment.
- Drive architectural improvements for cleaner design, enhanced product delivery, and a connected customer experience.
- Work directly under the Head of Technology, acting as the senior hands-on engineering lead for the core platform estate.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Data, and third-party engineering teams to ensure technology drives product value.
- Contribute to shaping the direction of a modern platform with both greenfield development and legacy system modernisation.
- Focus on building business-critical platforms, customer portals, subscription systems, or data-heavy products.
- Strong background as a Senior/Lead Software Engineer with deep experience in .NET, Azure, and SQL.
- Experience with modern backend architecture and some exposure to frontend frameworks like React or Angular.
- Proven ability to untangle and modernise legacy systems and architectures.
- Commercial mindset, understanding the importance of technology in achieving business outcomes.
- Comfortable engaging with cross-functional teams and external engineering partners.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and availability for occasional in-person meetings in London.
