Airbus Commercial in Bremen is looking for a

Lead Supply Chain Quality Manager for Wing Moveables

This newly position combines strategic oversight of a critical Tier 1 supplier Task Force in Spain (and its sub-tiers) with additional hands-on Supply Chain Quality Management (SCQM) responsibility for another Single Aisle program workpackage entering serial industrialization.

You will manage a scope encompassing CFRP and Metallic detail parts, requiring close alignment across Airbus Commercial and other Business Units. You will report hierarchically and regarding Task Force results directly to your Head Of, and functionally to the functional team leader for Flaps & Flap Support Structure.

Key Responsibilities & Task Force Activities

  • Supplier Interface & Performance: Act as the primary operational interface to manage supplier delivery, quality, compliance, and contractual adherence. Define long-term Supplier Quality Improvement Plans and report on performance.

  • Crisis Management & Recovery: Lead cross-functional sub-workpackages, support SCQMs, and escalate critical risks. Deploy short-term recovery/de-risking plans and manage overall business continuity.

  • Technical & Industrial Assessments: Execute deep-dive on-site technical maturity gap analyses (PFMEA, MSA, Control Plans) and incorporate improvements into manufacturing documentation.

  • Ramp-Up & Supply Chain: Assess sub-tier ramp-up readiness, execute on-site "run@rate" exercises, review inventory buffers/lead times, and create critical process mapping dashboards.

  • Serial Industrialization Operations: Secure workpackage operations using applicable methodology to ensure on-time delivery and aggressively reduce non-quality elements.

  • Audits & Assessments: collaborate on the definition, planning, and reporting herefor

  • Functional Leadership: guide and support SCQMs, apply practical problem-solving tools, and manage the human aspect of change to embed new ways of working.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead, influence, and build consensus across cross-functional teams and stakeholders without direct authority.

  • Operational Excellence & Crisis Management: Experience steering supplier operations (delivery, quality, compliance) and leading high-stakes task forces to resolve industrial crises and ensure business continuity.

  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to synthesize complex data, identify long-term trends, and develop forward-looking strategies aligned with broader business goals.

  • Problem-Solving: Expertise in managing complex, cross-workpackage incidents and implementing systemic, long-term corrective actions.

  • Collaboration: Strong communication skills to bridge operational and strategic teams while building robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of supply chain, quality management, and de-risking methodologies. Aerostructure background preferred; knowledge of metallic and composites manufacturing is a plus.

  • Languages: Fluent English mandatory. German, Spanish, or French is a plus.
