School Age Lead Teacher

Location Currently Hiring:

Shoreway Childcare Center in Cleveland, Ohio- (split shift position) 7am-10:30am and 2pm-6pm during the school year, and full-time straight shift during the summer, Monday through Friday

Market Square Childcare Center in Cleveland, Ohio - Possible split shift or afternoon only during the school year, and full-time straight shift during the summer, Monday through Friday

Lakewood Childcare Center in Lakewood, Ohio, is expanding and opening a new School Age Classroom on-site at the childcare center. They are looking for a school-age lead to help with the setup of this new classroom! (split shift position) 6:30am-11am and 2:30pm-6pm during the school year, and full-time straight shift during the summer, Monday through Friday

Wage Information: Full-time (Split) or Part-time afternoon-only hourly position commensurate with experience, training, and education. Pay Rate Range: $15.00 to $17.50 per hour. Split Shifts with more than a 3 hour timespan in between get an extra $1.00 per hour incentive!

CPL 1 $15.00 per hour / CPL 2 $16.50 per hour / CPL 3 $17.50 per hour

Reports to: Center Director

Job Description:

  • Homework assistance in one-on-one and small group settings; check work and ensure completion if possible

  • Plan and implement engaging age-appropriate lesson plans for classroom activities and clubs

  • Responsible for the care and supervision of children and classroom management at all times in accordance with licensing standards and best practices

  • Work independently with a group of children and as a leader for the team with other teachers, leads, center staff and the director

  • Build positive relationships with children, families and other staff members through prompt and accurate response and service, cheerful and professional attitude, and problem-solving spirit

  • Manage a classroom environment that is fun and engaging

  • Complete and document services provided, such as progress reports, attendance screenings, and assessments as required

  • Provide functional classroom support and assist with meal service as required

  • May be required to assist with center transportation plans

  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality with personnel and family information

  • All other duties as needed/assigned
