Job Title and Summary
The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for developing, and delivering execution-driven learning initiatives that align with organizational planning priorities and strategic goals. This role is critical to building the capabilities and competencies of our global planning teams through structured learning programs, measurement-focused interventions, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate combines strategic vision with operational discipline, delivering measurable business impact through transformative learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop training programs aligned with organizational planning priorities and strategic goals. Translates strategic L&D vision into concrete, actionable plans with clear timelines, milestones, and deliverables
- Manage employee learning initiatives and professional development plans with a focus on measurable outcomes
- Assess training needs across global planning teams and functions
- Oversee Spectrum (training platform) optimization and continuous improvement
- Facilitate and orchestrate the delivery of training materials in multiple formats (online, in-person, hybrid)
- Measure and report on training effectiveness, ROI, and business impact
- Collaborate with department heads and cross-functional teams to identify skill gaps and learning priorities
- Lead change management initiatives through targeted learning interventions
- Gather and analyze Voice of the Customer (VoC) feedback to inform L&D strategy and program improvements
- Execute and deliver L&D projects on time and within scope in a matrix organization
- Stay current with learning trends and best practices in planning and operations
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of direct planning, supply chain, operations, or related planning experience (demonstrating understanding of planning domain expertise)
- Proven track record of exceptional project management with ability to deliver complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives. Consistently delivers on commitments; team members can count on timely, quality execution of learning initiatives
- Demonstrated experience leading change management initiatives and supporting organizational/culture changes
- Experience working effectively in matrix organizational structures with multiple reporting lines and stakeholder dependencies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to engage diverse audiences at all organizational levels.
- Good understanding of talent development principles, culture, organization development
- Curriculum development knowledge
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in training and development (ASTD, ATD) or change management (ACMP)
- Experience with needs assessment, evaluation methodologies, and business impact analysis
