Leasing Development Trainer

The Leasing Development Trainer (LDT) delivers in-person and virtual training to leasing teams within an assigned territory to drive sales performance and support company leasing goals. This role assesses training needs, develops and facilitates programs, and provides hands-on coaching to both new and experienced team members.
The LDT serves as a key resource, mentor, and ambassador for leasing excellence, supporting new acquisitions and collaborating with regional leaders to ensure a consistent and effective training experience across the organization.
Essential Responsibilities
- Lead new hire onboarding training, including initial and follow-up sessions
- Provide ongoing training and coaching to leasing consultants and managers
- Conduct mock shops and audits to evaluate leasing performance
- Deliver training on company systems and leasing technologies (including AI platforms)
- Partner with leadership to identify skill gaps and implement training solutions
- Provide one-on-one coaching for underperforming team members
- Support new property acquisitions with on-site and virtual training
- Facilitate companywide onboarding calls for new leasing hires
- Participate in leasing operations periodically to stay current on processes
- Support company training events, recognition programs, and initiatives
- Maintain accurate reporting of training activities and expenses
Qualifications
- High school diploma and at least 2 years of leasing experience
- Proficiency in property management and training platforms (e.g., Yardi, CRM, LMS tools)
- Strong communication, presentation, and coaching skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse learning styles and audiences
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel regularly, including overnight
- Travel required within assigned territory and to corporate office
- Must demonstrate professionalism, customer focus, and a passion for training and development
- Ensure compliance with all applicable housing and employment laws
Compensation and Benefits
- $71k-$72k annually DOE
- Company profit sharing
