The University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee's Program in Occupational Therapy, Science, & Technology is seeking qualified ad hoc lecturers to teach courses in Occupational Therapy in Psychosocial Practice. This position provides an opportunity to educate future occupational therapists in essential aspects of mental health and psychosocial rehabilitation.

OCCTHPY 719: Occupational Therapy in Psychosocial Practice
Contract period: August 24, 2026-January 7, 2027 (class starts September 2)
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain office hours and/or virtual availability to assist students outside of class.
- Prepare and deliver high-quality course content related to occupational therapy in mental health, psychiatric conditions, and psychosocial rehabilitation.
- Ensure course materials are inclusive and accessible, adhering to university standards.
- Develop syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, and exams that align with program goals and accreditation standards.
- Facilitate classroom discussions, providing timely and constructive feedback to students.

Occupational Therapy Science and Technology Programs (OTST)
The Occupational Therapy Science and Technology Programs (OTST) are consistently ranked among the best in the nation. Compensation:
Full-time rate of $35,660 - $40,000/C basis. Salary will be prorated based on appointment length and FTE. Final salary offer will be contingent upon degree and the knowledge, skills, and abilities demonstrated throughout the selection process.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s or doctoral degree in occupational therapy or a related field with a focus on mental health and psychosocial rehabilitation.
Proven expertise in the subject areas for which you are applying to teach.
Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical experience in mental health occupational therapy and psychosocial rehabilitation practices.
Demonstrated knowledge in community-based occupational therapy models.
Additional Information:
Work will be performed primarily on the UW-Milwaukee campus.
Anticipated start date is August 2026.
