Legal Counsel Data & Privacy Compliance

EXECUTION OF THE GLOBAL DATA & PRIVACY PROGRAM

In this role, you’ll support the execution of Red Bull’s global Data & Privacy Compliance Program by translating existing and upcoming legal requirements into actionable global processes and governance structures. Your work will help ensure a consistent and effective compliance approach across regions and business functions.

POLICIES, PROCEDURES AND RISK MANAGEMENT

A core part of your role involves drafting, reviewing, and updating internal data and privacy policies, standards, procedures, and risk assessments. Through clear and practical documentation, you’ll strengthen the company’s compliance framework and support sustainable implementation.

REGULATORY ANALYSIS AND IMPLEMENTATION

Working across a dynamic legal landscape, you’ll analyze new and emerging data privacy, cybersecurity, and data-related regulations and help integrate them into Red Bull’s compliance framework. In close collaboration with business units and stakeholders, practical guidance and global standards will be developed from legal requirements.

DATA SUBJECT REQUESTS AND INCIDENT HANDLING

You’ll improve and support global processes related to data subject requests and data incident handling. This includes advising on request processes, supporting communication with data subjects, and contributing to structured and compliant incident response.

STAKEHOLDER COMMUNICATION AND COORDINATION

Together with internal stakeholders across Data & Privacy, Strategic Compliance, Legal Operations, IT, business functions, regions, and corporate projects, as well as external partners and law firms, you’ll drive strategic compliance initiatives forward. Strong coordination and communication will be essential to enable alignment and knowledge sharing on global developments.

  • Law or IT degree required; a postgraduate degree is a plus
  • CIPP/E or a similar data privacy qualification is an advantage
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in data protection, privacy compliance, and/or cybersecurity gained in international law firms, legal consulting firms, or in-house legal departments
  • Excellent English skills
  • Experience building and maintaining privacy frameworks in an international environment
  • Proven track record in coordinating strategic cross-functional projects and working with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong knowledge of European data privacy law and emerging data and cybersecurity regulations
  • Structured, diligent, and process-oriented working style with strong organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills, sound legal and business judgment, and a strategic mindset
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal topics in a practical way

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is € 2.362,- gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
