  • Permanent, Full Time with Base salary will be in the range $79,096 - $83,863 + 17% super (HEW Level 4).

  • Based at our vibrant Dutton Park Campus.

About This Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an ongoing Library Services Officer to join our team. This is your chance to step into a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you’ll support students and academics while playing a key role in enabling learning, teaching, and research across UQ.

As part of a collaborative and service-focused team, you’ll use your problem-solving skills, adaptability, and passion for delivering great service to enhance the library experience for our community. You’ll also contribute to the ongoing evolution of innovative, responsive library services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-quality advice and support on library resources, systems, and services

  • Responding to enquiries and resolving issues, including basic IT support, escalating where needed

  • Supporting and mentoring colleagues, coordinating workflows, and assisting with small projects

  • Contributing to continuous improvement, including service enhancements and documentation

Please note:

  • The University of Queensland Library reserves the right to transfer staff to any of its services.

  • Evening, weekend and roster work will be required

About You

  • Relevant qualifications and/or equivalent experience with a strong record of service delivery

  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality results with attention to detail and ownership of tasks

  • Strong digital and technology skills, including familiarity with library systems and software applications

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including active listening and clear expression

  • Collaborative and adaptable team player, thriving in changing environments and supporting team goals

  • Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to continuous learning and improvement
