Linen Attendant [Hotel/ Central]
Location: Orchard
Working Hours: 5 days work week, shift required
Salary: Up to $2700 + aws + flexi benefit + staff meals
Our client is a leading international hospitality company. Join their Housekeeping team and play an important role in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the hotel. As a Linen Attendant, you will be responsible for managing linen and uniform inventories, maintaining organised storage areas, and supporting operational departments with timely distribution of supplies to ensure exceptional guest service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Linen & Uniform Operations
- Receive, sort, issue, and store hotel linens and employee uniforms efficiently.
- Inspect uniforms and linens for damage, wear, or quality issues and arrange for cleaning, repairs, or replacement where necessary.
- Ensure all linen and uniform items are properly labelled, stored, and readily available for operational use.
- Maintain accurate records of linen circulation and uniform issuance.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor stock levels of linens, uniforms, and housekeeping supplies.
- Assist with regular stock counts, inventory checks, and reconciliation exercises.
- Track linen usage and report shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Support inventory control measures to minimise loss and wastage.
Operational Support
- Deliver linens, uniforms, and housekeeping supplies to various departments as required.
- Assist with guest room setup requests, including extra beds, baby cots, and additional linen requirements.
- Coordinate closely with Housekeeping and Laundry teams to ensure uninterrupted linen supply.
- Facilitate the efficient movement of clean and soiled linen throughout the hotel.
Housekeeping & Organisation
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the linen room, storage areas, and uniform room.
- Ensure proper segregation and handling of clean and used linen.
- Follow established procedures to uphold hygiene and quality standards.
- Keep storage areas neat, safe, and well-organised at all times.
Safety & Compliance
- Comply with workplace health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Handle equipment, chemicals, and cleaning materials responsibly.
- Report equipment faults, hazards, or safety concerns promptly.
- Follow hotel policies and operational procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience in housekeeping, laundry, linen room, or a similar role is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail.
- Able to work in a physically active environment and handle lifting duties when required.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to support team operations.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently when required.
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency.
