ABOUT THE ROLE
CountryPlace Mortgage, a leading nationwide personal property, mortgage and commercial lender headquartered in Plano, TX, is seeking a Loan Officer to help grow our Originations Department. This in-person role is in our Plano, TX office. As a Loan Officer, you will collaborate with Loan Processors, Underwriting, Compliance team and other essential departments. The Loan Officer will be responsible for managing relationships with retailers and other partners. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, a deep understanding of lending products, and the ability to guide borrowers through the loan process with professionalism and care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage relationships with assigned retailers by originating loans and providing high quality service
- Provide excellent service to borrowers ensuring that their needs are met in a timely and accurate manner
- Guide borrowers through the loan process, from application to closing
- Present and explain different loan options to borrowers and retailers
- Effectively communicate denial reasons to the retailer, to effectively maintain the relationship
- Effectively communicate loan approval to retailer and customer, selling benefits of our program to win the deal
- Work with internal staff to provide follow-up, counter offers and additional information
- Reviews conditions submitted on approved loans, clears conditions when appropriate and submits to Credit Analyst for review and approval
- Ensure loans adhere to investor guidelines
- Display excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to adjust work and thought process to accommodate multiple investor guidelines
- Employ a strong sense of urgency and ownership
- Demonstrate a professional work ethic in all facets of completing work duties
- Consistently meets and exceeds individual, team and department objectives
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS degree required in Marketing, Business, Accounting, Finance or Management
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and financial calculator
