Locum Educational Therapist #JK
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver individualized or small group lessons to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate and monitor academic and developmental progress.
- Develop and adapt teaching strategies and materials for children with learning challenges.
- Track progress through case notes and reports; provide regular updates to parents.
- Conduct Parent-Teacher Conferences to review progress and goals.
- Contribute to curriculum development, resources, and programme improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with parents and multidisciplinary teams to support holistic development.
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant field with certification in Special Education / SpLD (e.g. Dyslexia, SEN).
- Registered with the Register of Educational Therapists (Asia) (RETA).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in literacy and/or numeracy intervention.
- Able to teach up to PSLE and/or O-Level standards.
- Familiarity with structured literacy approaches (e.g. Orton-Gillingham, Jolly Phonics) is advantageous.
- Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Committed to continuous professional development.
