Logistics Resupply Planner

SMX requires a Logistics Resupply Planner to support PACFLT requires a subsistence and food service operations across carriers, surface ships, and submarines throughout the Pacific theater. The candidate will provide expert oversight, coordination, and operational guidance for shipboard food service, inventory management, subsistence planning, and logistics sustainment operations. The role advises PACFLT leadership, culinary specialists, and logistics personnel on compliance with Navy standards, feeding operations, Push Logistics execution, contingency sustainment planning, and operational readiness requirements while ensuring efficient support for deployed personnel and mission-critical operations.

This position requires an active DoD Top Secret SCI security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on DoD contracts.

This position is working onsite in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide expert oversight and operational guidance for food service programs supporting U.S. Navy carriers, surface ships, and operational best practices across afloat platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with Navy food service standards, regulations, sanitation requirements, and operational best practices across afloat platforms.
  • Advise leadership and culinary specialists on the development and execution of Navy-standard menus aligned to mission requirements, crew size, and platform capabilities.
  • Managed and monitor the end-to-end subsistence process utilizing Navy systems including FSM and STORES for ordering, receipt, inventory accountability, and storage operations.
  • Direct inventory management and stowage planning efforts to maximize storage capacity, maintain accountability, and minimize food waste during deployed operations.
  • Develop and coordinate feeding operation plans supporting crews ranging from 500 to more than 5,000 personnel while ensuring nutritional compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Execute Push Logistics concepts to improve the distribution and delivery of subsistence supplies to Navy vessels operating throughout the PACOM AOR.
  • Coordinate with vendors, logistics personnel, supply activities, and shipboard leadership to ensure timely replenishment and sustainment support for fleet operations.
  • Analyze food service and logistics performance metrics to identify trends, improve operational readiness, and provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
  • Identify and resolve shipboard subsistence challenges including storage limitations, inventory discrepancies, and supply chain disruptions impacting mission readiness.
  • Collaborate directly with PACFLT leadership, culinary specialists, and logistics teams to optimize fleet food service operations and improve sustainment effectiveness.
  • Develop contingency sustainment plans supporting emergency response operations and mission-critical feeding requirements during dynamic operational environments.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements and innovative logistics solutions to enhance operational capability, efficiency, and fleet sustainment readiness.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years in the U.S. Navy with demonstrated leadership in shipboard food service operations.
  • Broad experience with Navy standard menus, methods, and equipment across multiple platforms (e.g., carriers, surface ships, submarines).
  • Extensive experience with U.S. Navy food ordering, receiving, and stowage processes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Push Logistics concepts, methodologies, and execution.
  • Knowledge of Navy regulations, policies, and procedures governing subsistence support and shipboard food service.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
  • At least 7-years' experience utilizing Navy systems including FSM and STORES for ordering, receipt, inventory accountability, and storage operations.
  • 5 out the last 12-years operating in the PACOM AOR.
  • At least 7 & years directing inventory management and stowage planning efforts maintaining accountability and minimize food waste.
  • 5 years' experience analyzing food service and logistics performance metrics to identify trends.
  • At least 3 years' experience developing and coordinating feeding operation plans supporting crews ranging from 500 to more than 5,000 personnel.
  • At least 3-years developing contingency sustainment plans.
  • Must be able to work well both independently and with multiple diverse stakeholders to accomplish requirements.
  • Experience briefing senior leaders (FOs/GOs); 3-5 years minimum preferred.
  • BA/BS in any field; management, resupply operations, or logistics preferred.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Familiarity with food service operations and equipment across carriers, surface ships, and submarines.
  • At least 3 years of experience working in the USINDOPACOM AOR.
  • At least 2 years of experience on a military staff office (Service HQ, Combatant Command, OSD, JS).
  • Knowledge of industry standards and large-scale food service organizations.
  • Awareness of advancements in freeze-dried and rehydrated food technologies.
  • Master's Degree from an accredited college, university, or Graduation from a military command and staff college.
  • Joint Professional Military Education (JPME).
  • Comfortable using MS365 suite (Word, Excel, PPT, Teams, Planner).
  • Problem solving and developing multiple solutions independently.

The proposed salary for this position is:
$140,000$168,000 USD
