M&E Coordinator (mixed use development)

The M&E Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all mechanical and electrical aspects of construction on or facilities projects. This includes planning, installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities. The role ensures M&E works are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with technical standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.

Project Coordination:

· Coordinate all M&E services on construction or refurbishment projects.

· Review and interpret M&E design drawings, specifications, and schedules.

· Liaise with design consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure M&E requirements are integrated into project plans.

· Monitor progress of M&E installation works and ensure timely completion.

Technical Oversight:

· Ensure M&E installations comply with relevant codes, regulations, and best practices (e.g.,

HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, lighting, power).

· Identify design or installation issues and recommend practical solutions.

· Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of M&E systems.

Quality and Compliance:

· Ensure that M&E works are completed to required quality standards.

· Coordinate inspections, testing, and documentation for compliance with local and

international codes.

· Maintain accurate records of M&E inspections, test reports, and approvals.

Communication and Reporting:

· Serve as the point of contact for M&E-related queries and coordination between contractors, consultants, and project teams.

· Prepare regular reports on M&E progress, risks, and issues.

· Attend site meetings and report on M&E status and coordination efforts.


Job Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.

· 3–5 years of experience in M&E coordination for construction or facilities projects.

· Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

· Familiar with local and international M&E codes and safety regulations.

· Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

· Skilled in coordinating with contractors, consultants, and project teams.

· Experience with testing, commissioning, and quality control processes.

· Strong communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

· Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of AutoCAD or similar tools is a plus.
