M&E Drafter

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and develop detailed drawings and layouts for building services using AutoCAD, including Electrical, Air Conditioning, Plumbing, Sanitary and Fire Protection systems.
  • Produce schematic diagrams, single-line diagrams, arrangement drawings and construction drawings in accordance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate closely with the Engineering team to ensure designs and drawings are executed in compliance with specifications and project standards.
  • Revise and update drawings based on site conditions, vendor changes and project modifications, and prepare accurate As-Built Drawings.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant electrical standards, local regulations, codes of practice and authority requirements.
  • Attend technical meetings and coordinate with consultants, clients, main contractors and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain and manage drawing files, ensuring all revisions and corrections are properly incorporated as directed by Section Heads or Project Leads.
  • Coordinate and update drawings based on meeting discussions and project requirements to ensure timely delivery and compliance.
  • Prepare and review BIM documentation and shop drawings directly from BIM models.
  • Utilize 3D BIM modelling tools, preferably Autodesk Revit, to support project design and coordination activities.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams to identify and resolve design and coordination issues effectively.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in building services design and drafting.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiar with 3D BIM modelling tools, preferably Autodesk Revit.
  • Knowledge of local building regulations, electrical standards and design codes.
  • Experience in preparing BIM documentation and shop drawings will be advantageous.
  • Prior experience in LTA projects will be an added advantage.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 6:00pm
