An M02 is responsible for managing a development team, ensuring delivery of software solutions, and aligning execution with business and product goals.

Typically owns a single team of engineers

What You'll Bring:

Team Leadership & Delivery

  • Lead a team of software engineers (typically 5–10 members)
  • Own sprint planning, backlog execution, and delivery commitments
  • Ensure timely and quality delivery of features and enhancements

Technical Oversight

  • Guide architecture and design decisions
  • Ensure adherence to coding standards, scalability, and performance
  • Support resolution of technical challenges

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with product managers, architects, and business teams
  • Translate business requirements into execution plans
  • Communicate progress, risks, and delivery status

People Management

  • Conduct performance reviews and feedback sessions
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent
  • Support hiring and onboarding activities

Process & Quality Management

  • Ensure Agile / SDLC practices are followed
  • Track delivery metrics and improve team productivity
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives

Impact You'll Make:

Scope & Positioning

  • Mid-level management role (between senior engineer/lead and senior manager)
  • Focuses more on execution and team management than organisational strategy

Key Expectations

  • Balance between hands-on technical guidance and people leadership
  • Accountable for team outcomes, not just individual contribution
  • Acts as a bridge between leadership and engineering teams

Organisational Context

  • Plays a role in delivering initiatives aligned with engineering execution models such as epics, stories, and sprint commitments.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
