Maintenance Associate
Summary
This position is responsible for the daily production line and DAF operation activities. The incumbent is responsible for operating production machinery, ensuring materials used for production and products made are within quality expectations, and reporting daily operations to the Production Management Team. This position is subordinate to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Job Duties
- Conducts start-up checks and routine inspections to minimize machinery downtime and product wastage.
- Start the machine, operate the equipment, complete the checklist, and verify if all equipment is running.
- Cleans and sanitizes assigned equipment and areas, including the okara room.
- Assists in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery.
- Verify adequate materials and supplies are available to complete operations, as needed.
- Operates tools to aid in the manufacturing process.
- Working in isolation and checking in with the team lead/ supervisor every hour.
- Provides innovative solutions to improve plant efficiency.
- Logs and records readings for equipment and procedures
- Ensure that all equipment is properly sanitized, as GMP requires, before production starts.
- Report workers’ conflicts and concerns to the leadership team immediately so that follow-up action can be taken in a timely manner.
- Works with others to ensure that equipment is in proper working order.
- Trains and mentors fellow employees to increase their skill level in all activities.
- Other duties as assigned by the leadership team.

- Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards for people’s safety, food safety, quality, cost control, waste reduction and complete and on-time delivery.
- Promotes and follows all company and regulatory standards, including but not limited to: Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), Food Safety, Safe Operating Procedures (SOP's), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS)
- Ensure proper use of always-required personal protective equipment.
- Report all safety concerns to a member of your Joint Health and Safety Committee and your Supervisor/Manager
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.

Work Conditions
- Permanent Full-time position (40 hours per week)
- Able to work in hot& humid or cold areas.
- About to work with chemicals by using proper PPE.
- Work is performed 100% in the production facility.
- Exposure to noise and a wet temperature-variety environment when in the production area
- Flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required to meet business needs.
- Wearing of company-provided uniform and other Personal Protective Equipment is required as applicable.
