About the role
Are you an experienced Maintenance Electrician looking for your next challenge? Join us full-time at our Marley site in Manurewa, where you’ll play a vital role in keeping our manufacturing operations running smoothly every day. This hands-on, dynamic role operates on rotating shifts (alternating between day shift 7am to 3pm and afternoon shift 3pm to 11pm), giving you the opportunity to directly contribute to a safe, efficient, and productive environment.
We’re looking for someone who takes real pride in their work and enjoys providing electrical support-diagnosing issues, implementing solutions for breakdowns or improvements, and making a positive impact every day. What will you do?
Perform planned preventative and predictive electrical maintenance on all site equipment, including extruders, moulders, crushing equipment and associated ancillary systems.
Respond rapidly and safely to electrical breakdowns, carrying out effective fault finding, troubleshooting, and repairs to minimise plant downtime.
Work closely with the Electrical Team Leader and liaise with the Maintenance Planner to provide feedback
Work together with the mechanical team to collectively address issues quickly
Analysis on equipment failures and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
Identify and implement improvements to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and site safety.
Ensure all plant and site equipment is operational and ready for production start-up.
Proactively identify and address health and safety risks or hazards, working collaboratively to maintain a safe work environment.
What We're Looking For:
5+ years of experience working with heavy industrial machinery, manufacturing or processing environments.
Electrically Trade Qualified and EWRB registered with current practicing license
Experience in using LOTO, JSEA/SWMS/Take 5 and PTW systems
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Physically fit and comfortable working to daily deadlines
An excellent communicator with zero ego who can seamlessly collaborate with production operators, mechanical fitters, and fellow sparkies.
Commitment to Health & Safety and ensuring that best practices are followed in the workplace.
Passion for developing others and sharing knowledge with wider team.
Flexible, proactive, reliable, detailed and punctual, with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude
