About the Role

We are seeking a Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Engineer to support the reliability, maintenance, and technical performance of Ground Support Equipment (GSE). This role involves troubleshooting, failure analysis, maintenance optimization, technical documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, analyse, and resolve technical issues using structured fault-finding methodologies to minimise equipment downtime.

  • Conduct failure mode analysis and recommend maintenance improvements to enhance equipment reliability and performance.

  • Investigate technical defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Communicate technical findings, troubleshooting outcomes, and maintenance recommendations to stakeholders.

  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and engineering documentation.

  • Develop, review, and update maintenance manuals, repair procedures, and engineering change documentation.

  • Manage spare parts obsolescence, including risk assessment, alternative part identification, and inventory planning.

  • Work closely with operations, quality assurance, and supply chain teams to optimise maintenance schedules and resource planning.

  • Respond to urgent technical issues outside normal working hours when operationally required.

  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety, security, quality, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience; OR

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related discipline with at least 6 years of relevant experience in automotive, ground support equipment, maintenance, or related industries.

  • Experience in maintenance operations, engineering support, troubleshooting, or technical services.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and technical schematics.

  • Familiarity with CAD software, SolidWorks, or hydraulic system simulation tools will be an advantage.
