Maintenance Engineer II-Experienced

Job Summary

As a Maintenance Engineer (MII) at Tetra Pak, you’ll perform more complex maintenance and installation activities with greater independence. You’ll work hands-on with cutting-edge food industry equipment, solving problems that keep global food production running safely and efficiently.

As part of our Customer Service Operations team, you will be first in the field to maintain food processing and packaging equipment at our customers’ facilities. As someone who takes pride in diagnosing issues and restoring equipment performance, you’ll help ensure food production continues for hundreds of millions of people across more than 160 countries.

What you will do

Travel to customer sites to:

    • Independently execute preventive maintenance activities in line with global Tetra Pak standards
    • Perform mechanical disassembly and re-assembly of capital equipment
    • Deliver installation tasks, including electromechanical rebuilding kit installations
    • Conduct testing, calibration, and verification activities to ensure equipment readiness
    • Use Tetra Pak Maintenance System (TPMS) tools to document and report all service work
  • Act as a technical resource for customers during production and maintenance events
  • Proactively contribute ideas that support customer productivity and business development
  • Represent Tetra Pak professionally, maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Follow all safety protocols in accordance with OHS and Tetra Pak regulations, promoting a strong safety culture in every task

We believe you have

  • Three or more years of equipment maintenance experience, including independently performing preventive maintenance, installations, rebuild kit activities, and mechanical/electrical troubleshooting.
  • Experience working with food industry processing or packaging equipment (strongly desired)
  • A high school, vocational school, or technical diploma focused on hands-on technical work
  • Ability to travel and work within the United States for up to 25 days per month (non‑consecutive), including occasional weekends.
  • Conversational English skills (written and verbal)
  • A customer-focused, proactive, and safety-first mindset
  • A continuous improvement attitude with a willingness to expand technical knowledge
  • A valid driver's license is required for extensive travel to customer sites by car and air.
  • You must be work authorized in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future. The company cannot offer employment to F-1 (student)visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.

Pay Equity

Tetra Pak provides the following compensation range that in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.

Ranges are determined by role, level and location. Within the range, individual pay is defined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule. The estimate displayed is just one component of Tetra Pak's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards include annual performance bonus, competitive benefits, and work-related allowances.

  • Annual Base Salary Range (ABS): $60,600.00– $86,400.00.
  • Short-term Incentive/Bonus (Variable Pay): Eligible to performance incentive of 10% of ABS.
